Grant Johnson has been on a hot streak so far this season and held a decisive .005 to .048 lead over defending champion Rick Vose, but the reputation of the champ and his deadly Duster might have influenced Grant's right foot and he broke out with a heart-breaking, -.004-under, 10.336 at 64.11 mph pass. Rick dialed in the "Dead Nutz" Duster in at a 7.40 and drove to a winning 7.409 at 91.47 mph for his first win of the season.

Semifinal action saw Grant stop Neil O'Connell with a .008-over, 10.348 to Neil's -.004-under, 7.786. Neil is a new name to the ESTA results page and he legged his 2020 Dodge into 3 class box scores this weekend!

Rick drew the bye-run and drove to a boring, .008-over 7.408..... see? Deadly!

The aforementioned Neil O'Connell scored the win in his first final of the day when he defeated Tim Patterson in the Street Trophy final. Tim did his job on the line grabbing an early, .044 to .095 lead, but his Mustang fell off his 8.46 dial-in to run an 8.531 at 83.83 mph which opened the door for Neil to drive around him for the win. Neil's 7.802 at 86.92 mph pass on his 7.79 dial was enough for him to erase his reaction time deficit and score the win.

In the semifinals, Neil squared off against Amedeo Libertell and laid a massive, .002 to .471 reaction time lead and literally coasted to the win. Tim had a solo run to set up the finals pairing.
