Super Pro
Jack Vault Jr. scored his second-straight Super Pro win with a holeshot win over defending champion Matt Himes. Jack's .012 to .061 reaction time advantage was all he needed to catch Matt's Malibu Wagon at the stripe. Jack dialed his turbo-charged Mustang in at a 4.86 and carded a 4.877 at a blistering 144.83 mph to score the win with a .032 m.o.v. It was a tough loss for the champ as he nailed his 6.47 dial-in with a 6.470 at 105.15 mph in his runner-up effort.
In semifinal action, Jack scored a red-light win over Scott Beasaw Sr., while Matt trailered Dave Miller and his potent Chevy S-10 to advance to the finals.
Pro
Another holeshot win, this time it was Nick Beasaw outdueling Eric Sadowski on the tree, .001 to .062. Eric drove an outstanding race with a .002-over, 6.642 at 102.01 mph, but with Nick holding .051 in the bank, he was able to hold off Eric's charge. Nick dialed in at a 7.08 and posted a 7.111 at 93.00 mph pass to secure the win with a .022 margin of victory.
In the semis, Nick's reaction time advantage pushed Steve Doss into a breakout pass, while Zach Beasaw lost his R.T. advantage over Eric and broke out by a .003 margin and the Pro final stage was set.
Pro MX
John Kuhfta held a .061 to .104 reaction time advantage over Ron Dean on the line, but opened the door a bit for Ron to drive around him. Luckily for John, Ron took .009 too much win stripe and he held on for the Pro MX win. John dialed his Polaris in at a 6.82 and posted a .053-over, 6.873 at 95.79 mph, while Ron dialed in at a 6.35 and slipped under at a 6.341 at 105.38 mph and had to settle for the runner-up finish.
In the semis, John won both ends of the track over Kevin Sutliffe to advance to the finals, while Ron drew the bye-run.
Street Money
Grant Johnson held a healthy .010 to .051 reaction time advantage over Rick Beasock in the Street Money final, and that pushed Rick into a -.008-under 8.212 at 83.01 run on his 8.22 dial. Grant dialed his Poncho in at a 10.34 and posted a 10.409 at 62.65 mph pass to secure his win by a .036 margin of victory.
In the semifinals, Grant was awarded the win when Tremaine Short fouled out with a -.024 red light start, while Rick had the solo run to set up his final round showdown with Grant.
Modified
Dan Hanley brought his A-Game to the Modified final and posted a solid, .017 package to defeat Scott Smith and his '64 Plymouth. Dan grabbed a massive .005 to .097 reaction time advantage and drove to a .012-over, 7.222 at 91.64 mph on his 7.21 dial to score the white time slip. In his effort to close the R.T. deficit, Scott drove to a 7.148 at 94.910 mph on his 7.16 dial-in and had to settle for the runner-up finish.
In semifinal action, Dan ended Dave Miller's day winning both ends of the track, while Scott drew the bye-run into the finals.
Street Trophy
Pat Minogue won his second-straight Street Trophy final when Dave Gwin fouled on the line with -.011 red light. Pat dialed his Caprice in at a 9.30 and drove it out to a .055-initiated, 9.288 at 78.03 mph to lock in the win. Dave dialed his '74 Camaro in at 7.97 and posted an 8.154 at 84.48 mph for the runner-up effort.
Bike/Sled Trophy
With .004 separating the dial-ins between Brandon MacCombie and Kevin Wuest, it was Kevin grabbing a slight .046 to .060 reaction time lead, but his 6.060 at 111.65 mph pass on his 6.01 was just enough for Brandon to take the stripe with a 5.99 at 118.66 mph run on his 5.97 dial to secure the win with a slim .016 m.o.v.
In the semifinals, Kevin won a double breakout duel over Ron Dean, while Brandon drew the byr-run into the finals.
Jr.Dragster
Austin Abel left no room for Brody Halsey in the Junior Dragster final when he posted an outstanding .017 reaction over Brody's .191 light and cruised a 7.970 at 81.11 mph on his 7.90 dial-in and locked in another Junior win. Brody dialed in at an 11.32 and drove to a 11.301 at 56.86 mph for the runner-up effort.
