Super Pro
Tim Roberts was making another run at a second-straight Super Pro win, but was denied by an -.006 red light start. South Rome Racing Tom Samsel dialed in at a 6.48 and launched with a solid .010 reaction and finished his run with a 6.499 at 107.05 mph winning effort. Tim dialed his dragster in at a 4.84 and ran a 4.821 at 142.50 mph for the runner-up honors.
In the semis, Tim advanced to the finals when Gene Stankivitz gave up the win with a -.006 foul start as well. In the other semifinal match, John Cooper gave up a .002 to .026 reaction advantage over Tom only to breakout with a -.006-under, 4.794 pass to set up the final pairing.
Pro
Dave Tingley fell a round short in last week's Pro final, but remained focused and cashed in on the final Pro E.T. race of the season defeating a red-lighting Christianna Hubbard. Christianna drove well all day, but was -.006 too quick on the tree. SHe dialed her '89 Mustang in at a 7.17 and ran it out to a 7.203 at 95.36 mph for the runner-up effort. Dave would have been tough as he drilled the tree with a .001 reaction, but lifted after seeing the win light on in his lane. Dave cruised to a 6.822 on his 6.47 dial-in. In the semis, Dave took out Terry Lee with a tight .023 package while Terry broke out, and Christianna had the solo pass into the finals.
Pro MX
It was a near dead-heat in the Pro MX final with Brandon MacCombie getting a .000X margin of victory win over class champion Kevin Sutliffe. Kevin held a .007 advantage over Brandon on the line, .087 to .094, but Brandon's .011-over, 5.871 at 120.70 mph was just enough to squeak out the win over Kevin's .018-over, 5.468 at 127.14 mph pass. Kevin's runner-up finish bookmarked his season with a solid 9 point cushion over second place finisher Ryan Orizino in the point chase.
In the semifinals, Brandon scored a holeshot win over Haley Feher while Kevin's solo run was just .001 quicker than his final round E.T.! Consistency win championships!
Street Money
"White Bread" Todd Minerd dialed it in on Sunday and scored the Affordable Floors $1,000 Street Shootout win over Sam DeMareo. Todd held a decisive .024 to .122 advantage over Sam on the line and drove his S-10 to a winning 8.256 at 79.55 mph on his 8.19 dial-in to score the win. Sam dialed his 2021 Honda in at a 9.22 and broke out with a 9.199 at 80.39 mph for the runner-up honors.
In the semifinal pairings, Todd trailered Eric Conkling, while Howard Roberts' -.002 red light against Sam ended his bid for the Halsey cash. Thank you to Mike Halsey of Affordable Floors & Blinds for his sponsorship of the 2 Street Shootout events again this season!
Modified
Jenna Lipke won the starting line and finish line over Dave Miller to score the Modified win. Jenna held a .086 to .142 reaction time advantage and drove to a -.001-over, 7.151 at 91.89 mph on her 7.15 dial to snag the win. Dave dialed his potent '84 S-10 pickup in at a 6.43 and drove to a 6.445 at 106.86 mph for the runner-up honors.
In the semis, Jenna pushed "The Rocket" Rick Fies into a breakout run to set up the final against Dave who pushed Eddie Aisheimer into a breakout run as well.
Street Trophy
Tyler Spialek won the Street Trophy final over Tim Patterson when Tim pushed too hard on the tree with a -.035 foul start. Tyler dialed in at a 7.66 and got his run started with a .088 light and drove to a 7.659 at 92.10 mph to seal the win. Tim ran it out to a 8.424 at 85.33 mph on his 8.43 dial-in and settled for the runner-up finish.
In semifinal action, Tyler scored a red light win over Kim Rossiter, while Tim had the solo run into the finals.
Bike/Sled Trophy
Kevin Sutliffe drilled the tree with an outstanding .003 reaction and chased Kevin Wuest down at the top end, pushing Kevin into a breakout run on his Polaris XCR, 5.893 on his 5.90 dial-in and sealed another win. K-Sut dialed his Hayabusa in at a 5.44 and sped to a .027-over, 5.467 at 126.75 mph for the winning effort.
A red light start for Vern Schmidt against Kevin Wuest in the semis set up the final pairing as K-Sut had the bye run into the finals.
SmallTire Outlaws
Dave Crossman gave up a little reaction advantage to Mark Town, .030 to .015, but his 4.931 at 147.85 mph pass had Mark's 5.169 at 139.41 mph covered and scored the Small Tire Outlaw win. Mark topped Vince DiFlorio in the semi with a 5.120 to 6.222 win, while Dave drew the bye run into the finals.
