Tim LaRose scored the first All Car Care American Muscle Stick Series win of the 2022 season when he parked Mark Bukowski in the 5 round series opener. Mark, who made the trek all the way from Columbus, Ohio, dialed his 1967 Pontiac GTO 455 in at 13.22, but missed the tree with a .266 light and broke out with a 12.914 at 110.42 mph in his effort to hold off Tim's Nova. Tim built an insurmountable lead at the start with his .007 reaction, and crusied to the win with a 9.910 at 143.88 mph run on his 9.45 dial-in.
Tim knocked off Jake Lipke who was driving Steve Doss' 2001 Firebird, in the semis, while Mark drew the bye-run into the final.
2nd Chance Race
Eric Neimeir salvaged the day from an early loss in the American Muscle Stick point race and scored the 2nd Chance win over Wally Warzecha and his 1965 Olds Cutlass. Eric dialed his '71 Dodge Demon in at an 11.62 and gained a .129 to .185 reaction time advantage over Wally at the start. Both drivers broke out, but Eric ran closer to his dial with a .082-under, 11.539 at 117.08 mph to score the win. Wally blasted his 12.20 dial-in with a 12.001 at 112.93 mph shot and had to settle for the runner-up finish.
In semifinal action, Eric had a massive reaction time advantage over Danny Meile and won the double breakout battle to advance to the final. Wally also held a large starting line advantage over Tom Weimer and ran an awesome .009-over, 12.229 at 108.65 mph pass to set up his shot against Eric.
