ESTA Elimination Ladder Qualifying Rule Revisions To help make things easier in the tower and to allow provisions for buy backs in all of the money classes, we have rewritten the bye run, lane choice, and pairings rules. Please read them carefully, as all of the classes have changes. The computer will be in qualifying mode during all time trial sessions for all classes. The driver with the best reaction time during the time trial sessions will be the number 1 qualifier and receive the scheduled bye run in the first round if there is one. All ladders will be based on reaction time instead of being closest to the dial in as in the past. Super Pro, Pro, Street Money, Modified, and Street Trophy will use a spin of the wheels to determine their first and second round opponents. The computer will draw an NHRA sportsman ladder off of the second round, based on reaction time, and will not change to the final. Lane choice will be a flip of a coin. Pro Bike, Pro Sled, Pro ATV, and Bike/Sled Trophy, first round pairings, will be determined from the reaction time qualifying from time trials. If you have obvious breakage and can not run in eliminations, let the tower know within 10 minutes after the final time trial session. The 1st round pairings will be available approximately 15 minutes after the final time trial session. An NHRA sportsman ladder will be drawn off of the first round, including the bye back round, based on reaction time. The ladder will not change to the final. The ladder will be available approximately 10 minutes after the round. It is the riders responsibility to find their opponent in the staging lanes, determine lane choice, and be ready to race when the class comes out. WE DO NOT WAIT FOR YOU! First and second round lane choice will go to the better qualified rider. A flip of a coin will determine lane choice from the third round until the final. Jr. Dragster A, and Jr. Dragster B will have an NHRA sportsman ladder drawn off of the time trial session qualifying, based on reaction time. If you have obvious breakage and can not run in eliminations, let the tower know within 10 minutes after the final time trial session. The ladder will be available aproximately 15 minutes after the final time trial session. The ladder will not change to the final. The better qualified driver will get lane choice in the first round. A flip of a coin will determine lane choice from the second round to the final. |
