May 27 - The official start of the summer arrived in a big way as temperatures soared, but we're not complaining as we completed our 4th straight Summit Racing E.T. Racing Series event on a beautiful Memorial Day weekend.

Jack Vault wheeled his ’07 Ford powered dragster to the Super Pro win defeating a red lighting Tana Caprara who was in her ’08 Chevy powered rail. Jack had a great .502 light and he clicked it off to a 7.71 at only 135 mph on his 7.47 dial in. Tana lit the red light with a .485 bulb and shut off to a 9.08, she was dialed in at 7.95. Both drivers drove extremely well during eliminations and it would have been a very close final had it not been for the red light. Gene Stankivitz III and Matt Spisak were the semifinalists.

May 20 - What a great day for drag racing on Sunday, May 20! Seven new winners graced the win column for the 2012 season as both Todd Minerd and Chrissy Klein each scored wins in the non-point season opener. After a horrible 2011 race season, 2012 has got off to a great start with 3-straight Summit Racing E.T. Racing Series events!

Carl Drake Jr. driving his Chevy powered dragster put together a string of good reaction times, which led him to the Super Pro winner’s circle today. In the final round he had a .518 r.t. and ran a 7.563 at 171.01 mph on his 7.51 dial in to deny Scott Popple his chance for the win in his Chevy powered dragster. Scott settled for the runner up spot with a .574 initiated, 7.904 at 168.56 mph run on his 7.89 dial. Heather Scheirer was the semifinalist in yet another Chevy powered dragster.

Eric Sadowski drove his Competition Wedge powered ’70 Dodge Challenger to the Pro win when he stopped Myles Higby who was driving his ’69 Dodge Dart in the all Mopar final round. Eric held a .571 to .591 starting line advantage and ran right on his 11.02 dial with an 11.025 at 118.68 mph winning effort. Myles ran a 10.135 at 133.17 mph on his 10.09 dial in his runner up effort. Fausto Rioscolon made it an all Mopar party with his semifinal round finish in his ’70 Dodge.
