Our schedule for next weekend (9/28 & 9/29) will be the following: Saturday the gates will open at 9am for a Time Trial day. Time trials will start around 10am. We will also run a Gamblers race in the afternoon around 2pm. This will be a Box / No Box Format with the winner of each group racing each other in the final. If the box car winner is faster than the no box winner we should be able to utilize the “Cross Talk” feature if so desired. $30 entry fee and 100% payback.
Sunday will be a Summit E.T. points race and we will finish the NYS Championship / ND Challenge event to determine the “Wally” winners. We will run our normal 2 time trial sessions (weather permitting) Then we will call up the drivers who are still in the Sept. 15th race and run this to conclusion, it should not take too long because we are down to semi’s and final’s. (Mike LaRose and AJ Meier will rerun their ¼ final race following their last time trial for their spot in the Pro semi).
Let’s hope that next week the dry weather predicted will extend into the weekend and we can get this off. Hope to see you there.
I am not sure when the George Cannellos race will be rescheduled, some of the family lives out of town and they want to be here when the race is held. Matt you can run in the no box class as well as any other bikes or sleds. We may or may not run a time trial / qualifier for the Gamblers race, it would be a way to determine a bye run if there is one.
When you say time trial day do you mean formal time trials in preparation for the completion of the NYS championships the following day or just a regular/normal test and tune day like was originally scheduled for this past Sunday? Thanks.
Copied from Todds post:
I am happy to announce, the Cannellos family has confirmed they can amke it to town this weekend for the Memorial race in honor of George Cannellos !
Of course, that means there will be a guaranteed $1500 payout for PRO !!!!!!
Dont forget the reason for a memorial race, and that is to honor a fallen racer. As I have noted before, you would not meet a better person in your lifetime than George. Please take a moment to go over to the Cannellos family, and say helo, share a story, and take a moment to remember George. The family is a blast to be with, are surely energetic, and 100% committed friends of our drag racers and the ESTA Family.
thank you, okay last question, I have to work till 1 on Saturday so I won't get down to the track till around 3, will I still be able to get through tech and make some TT runs that late or will the TT runs end when the gambler's race starts? thanks
