Just wanted to let anyone that is interested in attending the Eastern Conference Finals in Bristol to let me know and I can get you on the roster. We haven't raced much so I am not sure if anyone is going or not. The deadline to have the kids names printed in the brochure that they hand out at the track is June 21but the actual cut off to register is later in July. You can register online at bristol's website or the form can be printed out and mailed in. If you have any questions contact me at my email pdesalvo1@verizon.net.

1986 Ford Mustang Notchback. Has late model nose and 1/4 windows. Car is being sold as a rolling chassis. Car is from Virginia but now has clean NYS title. Through floor subframe connectors, full rollcage (could use some touch up on welds). 8.8 rearend, Moser 35spline axles/spool, c-clip eliminators, 3.55 gear, welded tubes. Tubular rear control arms, 90/10 Lakewood struts, driveshaft hoop, Lift off fiberglass hood and trunk lid. Fuel cell in trunk. Quick release steering wheel. New racing harness fall of 2012, stock seat and line loc. Car is setup as a drag car but have the wiring harness to put it back on the street. Have a stock dashboard for car but not installed. Weld Draglites, 15x3.5 and 15x8. $2500
This is a rust free Southern car. No fuel system or shifter.

Well we will try once again to do a Test & Tune day this Saturday along with the swap meet, maybe the third time will be the charm. Sunday will be The Pro MX Showdown with guaranteed top payout to the winner as well a points day for all of our weekly classes. Let's hope for some sunny weather.

The pit conditions and track conditions are about the same as last week, actually the end of the track has more water than last week so it will be 1/8 mile again if we run. I actually went into the swamp to try and see if there were any beaver dams but the old ones that I broke up had water over the top of them so we will be under water down there for a while. Unfortunately the forecast for tomorrow stinks with supposed rain coming in the morning. Call first or check the website before heading out to see what our plans will be.

We will be running (conditions permitting) a Test & Tune next Sat. with a Summit Points race on Sunday.

after many years of drag racing and tech inspections,I have often wondered why roll over valves are not mandatory for cars with fuel cells,it just seems like common sense. What does it take to make it happen? These might be some dumb questions, but I don't want to be the guy holding everybody up because I don't know what I am doing. I do have racing experience, but not at this track. I want to run my 06 Chrysler 300C at the June 8th open Test and Tune day. I am really looking to just get some times and tweak my tune a bit. I have some questions on how the track operates so I know what I am doing when I get there.

First, where do I get a number?

Second, how are cars called to the lanes? Do I just go direct to the lanes or go to the pits somewhere and wait to be called? If I wait to be called, how are cars called?

Third, is there a limit to the number of runs?

Hi, Y'All;
My name is Dusty Kyes, & "Back in the Day" 1968,69, & 70, I ran a hemi powered 68 Road Runner called "Blood Sweat & Torque" in SS/C & (1year) SS/D. Back then my "arch rivals" in class eliminations were John Accarino & his "Red Fox" Camaro, later called "My Revenge", & a fellow I can't remember the name of with a 67 427 Fairlane. For "Top Stock" eliminator, I usually ended up racin' Charlie "Squeak" Pullen's 66 427 Biscayne "Bronze Hog". Each of us had our share of wins.

I brought my car to the track in a converted school bus, & remember 1 day racin' another school bus hauler just for fun. I "think" I won, but ain't sure! In '69, I won the "Sportsmanship" award & went to Borio's for the banquet.

Anyhoo, what I'm REALLY lookin' for is some pictures of old "Blood Sweat & Torque" so my good friend Jack Kampney (who lettered the original car) can remember what style of letters (font?)he used back then. ALL my pictures from that era burned in a major fire @ my place back in '89, & the booze & partyin' have sort of "erased" the "clarity" in BOTH our memories! After 43 years of "abstinance" I've got myself ANOTHER hemi Super Stocker (65 Belvedere), & am HOPIN' to live long enuff to make a few passes in "Blood Sweat & Torque 2 (or Too)! We'd like to thank everyone who came to try out or see the new 330' concrete starting line! We feel it was a very successful day based on the comments we heard that day and saw on social media. Some highlights were a broken axle, first slick car on the track pulled the front wheels off the ground, and a 1.07 sixty foot time for a normally aspirated SBC dragster! Pretty decent for green track. Thank you, all!

First off, i'd like to apologize to anyone i may have offended in my other post. Now back this this grudge event or events in the future, the point is it's entertaining and exciting to watch fast cars race for money! There are a lot of feud's going on up here in grudge racing, like syracuse racers against rochester & buffalo racers. And it get's heavy, bragging rights, target on whom claims to be the best or lucky that day. Also you get a wide vary of car's, from pro mods to street killers all racing for money that they bet. Cost the track barely nothing, thx's again.

Every other track upstate Ny has embraced this, and they are making lot's money doing it!! It cost you barely nothing, if anyone of you "Esta staff" would like to go to event to see what your missing out on please contact me. As a fan and racer, and life long esta participant I'm so tired of seeing the same old things at Esta year after year after year. Fans drive up to 18 or more hours away, to watch this kind of racing!!

Here is an event i just went to 5/4/13, Capital Raceway, Md.. There had to be at least 1700 people at $20 per head, 350 cars easy at $40 per car, one concession stand which was full all day long, I'd say that alone it made $17k, and they only had two car's doing exhibition passes, so you do the math "Esta" one day!! They had to clear $60-$65,000 after payout!! They paided out these classes i know, street class $300, back-half class $3,000 $100 entry fee which all the participant's paid the prize that many cars in it, bracket race $500 , still i have never witness a fight as of yet!!
