If I remember right I did post the cancellation when I was at the track from my phone but later in the morning I deleted it when I went on to describe the following weeks race. But I could be wrong as my memory isn't what it used to be. (This getting old stuff is a bitch) I'll make sure that from now on it get's on the site while I am there. Take care and think dry weather, we'll need it after last nights soaker.

Just don't feel that it is fair that a delay box racer can adjust his or her reaction time by adding or subtracting numbers from the box where as the foot brake racers cannot. We'll see how it goes.

Well race fans the weather is not going to cooperate for us again this weekend so we are going to have to cancel racing for Sunday. The Top Street Race will be rescheduled for Aug. 2. We will finish the Pro MX Showdown next week. Also on tap next Sunday along with all of our regular Summit E.T. classes will be the 11.50 index race. All of this weather permitting of course. Let's all hope for some decent weather and I hope to see you next Sunday.

We'll also finish the Pro MX Showdown from the 7th and this will also be completed 1/8 mile like it was on the 7th. All the other weekly classes will be run as well. The Affordable Carpet Street Shootout has been rescheduled for Aug. 30th. Let's hope for some dry weather and hope to see everyone next week.

Yes, I think there were 11 drivers that we paid and I remember Colleen saying you did not pick yours up so you can get it when we race again.

We had our best turnout of the season so far with around 190 vehicles entered to compete today and we gave it our best shot to complete the race but an untimely oil down and the rain that came after the cleanup put a stop to that. We were able to get the Jr. Dragster final finished and winning that race was Dunham Hall defeating Taylor Listovitch. Dunham had a .617 reaction time and ran 8.059 at 81.53 mph on his 7.92 dial. Taylor had a .786 light and ran under her 7.90 dial with a 7.896 at 82.24 mph. We had the Pro Stick gang out here today and they got down to the semi’s with Larry Carasea, Eric Neimeier, Tim LaRose and Paul Nicotra all splitting the money. This group of racers will be back here on July 19th in case you missed them today and they are well worth coming out to see. I don’t get to see much of the racing action but the run I saw had an awesome looking black and silver Mustang hang the front wheels in the air past the tree and he wisely shut off as the car started to veer toward the center line. The Pro MX Showdown had 30 sleds and bikes show up today for the $750 and they got through the first round and will finish up next Sunday to see who takes home the coveted “Tree” trophy as well as the cash. The other money classes split the money with 17 Super Pro drivers getting $105 each, 11 Pro drivers getting $80 each and 12 Street Money racers getting $30 each. Thanks to everyone that came out to watch and on tap for next week we will attempt to run a Time Trial day on Saturday with gates opening at 9am and time trials starting at 10am. On Sunday we’ll have the Affordable Carpet Street Race with at least $1000 to win, The Pro MX racers still in will finish up the Showdown as well as run another race for the day and all of our other classes will be competing also. Thanks again and we’ll see you next week.

Here is a rundown for the month of June’s racing activities. There has been a schedule change for JUNE 7 that date will now be a Summit E.T. event for all classes instead of the scheduled time trial day. This is due to the fact that we will be having the Pro Stick group here on the 13th with open time trials that day as well. The Pro MX Showdown will be showcased on the 14th (Pro Stick also if rained out on the 13th) with $750 to win plus the special “Tree” trophy. On the 21st The Affordable Carpet Street Shootout will pay $1000 or more to the winner and we round out the month on the 28th with the 1/8 mile Heads Up Top Street Shootout. This race has been getting attention since we announced we were doing it and it should be a great show, the winner will take home $1000 guaranteed along with bragging rights of having the fastest street car in CNY. Our weekly Summit E.T. classes will also be contested on all the Sunday’s so there is plenty of excitement to keep everyone entertained. Keep checking our web site forum section for any further updates and we hope to see you soon at the ESTA Safety Park Dragstrip.
